Oh, the changing of seasons, what a beautiful sight...
"You are like a tree planted by streams of living water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also will not wither; and whatever you do shall prosper." Psalm 1:3 NKJV
Oh, the changing of seasons, what a beautiful sight. Most imagine when the word season is mentioned they solely think upon the changing of weather conditions, but I see it as not only a changing of the weather but the beautiful changing of the heart. The prospering in ones walk with God.
As I was driving to work just last week, like any other morning. It has been crazy busy with the holidays that, well, I've just felt like the days have been a blur. I entered the college driving through the back way and I noticed the changing of the leaves. Absolutely beautiful, the oranges and reds, just breathtaking. In that moment felt in my spirit the Lord tell me,
"How often do my children get so wrapped up in an old season that they cannot see the beauty of the next season I am taking them into?"
And I thought, wow, this is so true. I have found myself, just like many of you, cruising through life and the season I've tied myself to that I cannot even allow the new beauties of the next season God wants to bring me into.
Because, a lot of times it is easier to continue in a season of comfort rather than allowing the Lord to bring you into the season of faith that you have always prayed for. So my friend, take time today to pause and enjoy the beauty of the new season God is wanting to take you into. God is your provider, not man. Put your trust in God and you will not be able to fathom the places He can take you.
