I said, "In the name of Jesus right shoulder return to your rightful position!" Immediately her right shoulder moved back into place. She received a miracle! When I woke up the next morning I asked Holy Spirit what the dream meant and I felt like He gave me...
One of the most encouraging trips I have ever taken occured last weekend. Last Thursday I spent the night with some friends, Frank and Cindy Soucinek in Lake City, Florida.
On the way down to Florida they asked me to speak to their school during their monthly chapel gathering that was going to be taking place the following Friday morning. Of course, I said yes and was excited for the opportunity. That night after having a great time with them and their family I went to bed and had a dream.
In the dream it appeared as if I was at a high school football game walking around. As I was walking a random lady, whom I did not know, stopped and greeted me with a hello and then started telling me about her shoulder hurting. I looked at her right shoulder and it appeared as if she was wearing a shoulder pad. Her right shoulder was at least 2 inches higher than her left, it was obviously out of place. After she told me about her shoulder, she walked away. As she was walking away the Spirit of God spoke to me and told me to pray for her shoulder, He wanted to heal her. So, I ran the lady down and asked if I could pray for her. Of course, she agreed and we prayed.
I said, "In the name of Jesus, right shoulder return to your rightful position!" Immediately her right shoulder moved back in to place. She received a miracle! When I woke up the next morning I asked Holy Spirit what the dream meant and I felt like He gave me the dream to let me know there was someone at the school who needed their right shoulder healed. So, I was on board and so excited to be an instrument for God to heal through!
In case you were wondering, God still speaks to His people today in dreams and in visions. When I arrived at Covenant Community School that morning I was blown away with the hospitality of the staff and students. There was a spirit of excellence there that I have never seen at any other school. It was evident that in that place Jesus was Lord and the Holy Spirit was free to move in the lives of the teachers and students.
As Dean Soucinek began leading us in worship and exhortation I was moved to tears as I witnessed elementary aged kids move to the front and lift their hands without anyone telling them to. I could feel the heart of God being moved with love and compassion for them as they lifted their voices and hands in worship to Him! Teachers were coming up exhorting the school as they were led by Holy Spirit. It was so awesome to witness! Cindy then introduced me to the school and call me up to speak.
I knew immediately that I needed to share my dream and give whoever it was the opportunity to be healed by God. So, I shared my dream and asked if anyone had issues with their right shoulder.
To my surprise a few elementary school kids lifted their hands, one teenage girl, and one teacher. In a corporate setting of believers I don't like to lay hands and pray for people alone unless Holy Spirit tells me to. I use these moments to teach others about the authority God has given them and their responsibility as a believer, who is filled with the Holy Spirit, to heal the sick. These two verses confirm how God wants to use every believer to heal the sick and bring deliverance to all who need it:
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.””
Mark 16:17-18 NKJV
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
After I taught on these two scriptures, I asked everyone to reach their hands towards the small children and pray in faith after me. We then stretched our hands toward the children and said, "Be healed in Jesus name, now!" We prayed again, "Be healed in Jesus name, now!" I asked the children to move their right arm and see if their shoulder was hurting they responded "no" with smiles on their faces. God healed them!
I then asked the teenage girl if her right shoulder was hurting, she said yes! I then asked the students and faculty to stretch their hands towards that young lady and we prayed, "Right shoulder be healed in Jesus name, now!" We all prayed again, "Right shoulder be healed now in Jesus name!" I then asked the young lady to move her right arm around to see if there was any difference. She responded with a smile on her face, "it doesn't hurt anymore!" I later found out in conversation that she was diagnosed with tendinitis in her right shoulder. No longer does she have tendinitis. God healed her through the prayers and faith of the children and teachers!
I then looked towards the back to the teacher who was standing because she needed healing in her right shoulder as well. Mrs. Karen Stieskal could not lift up her arm higher than her shoulder. We all stretched our hands towards her and prayed as we did for the other students. After the first command, I asked her to check out her shoulder. There was no evidence of change. So, we prayed again. After the second command, "Right shoulder be healed in Jesus name," I asked her to check it out again. We then saw a little evidence that there had been some healing beginning to taking place. She could then lift her arm a little higher than before.
During this time I taught the students the importance of being persistent with their faith and prayers. I told them things were moving because we commanded them to in Jesus name; even though we did not see any immediate change. We see this taught by Jesus in his ministry in this passage of scripture:
“Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.”
Mark 8:22-25 NKJV
Here we see Jesus praying twice for a blind man before he received a 100% miracle. So, we prayed for the teacher again. After praying this time she could lift her arm a little higher. We did not stop there because Jesus died for her to be restored 100% in her shoulder. After praying the fourth time she could raise her arm above her head she received a miracle from God!
I later spoke with Mrs. Stieskal and she shared with me her story of how she hurt her shoulder. Six years ago she lost her balance and fell in a hole. While falling, she reached out with her right arm to grab a pole and when she did, her weight and momentum was going the opposite way while holding onto that pole and it pulled her shoulder out of place. She did not want to have surgery so for the past six years her shoulder has been in constant pain. She told me it was the first time in six years that she could lift your arm higher than her shoulder and it didn't hurt. Praise God!
